Floating Golf Ball Lab
My Chemistry 20 students were challenged with the task of making golf balls float and calculating density. Careful measurements and a lot of salt later the golf balls floated! The true challenge was to make the golf ball 'hover' indicating that its density was equal to that of the salt water. Students did not take the mass of the golf ball during this inquiry.
